Abstract
With the growing population in our world today, the world is facing various types of global issues, one obvious topic is climate change. Few countries across the globe are experimenting with various systems to lessen the impact of climate change, such as through ecotourism. Ecotourism is a type of tourism that helps raise awareness and educate tourists on the importance of preserving biodiversity. Meanwhile, it also pays close attention to social conflicts. In other words, ecotourism is an important tool to facilitate sustainable development. However, many countries do not practice ecotourism in the right manner, where often times this is due to the lack of knowledge and awareness. The paper explores the different challenges of ecotourism from global perspectives, also propose solutions to overcome the obstacles that can act as a barrier to the benefits of ecotourism.
